Once given implicit permission to take a closer look Alec half-drapes his entire upper body over the table, shoving his untouched drink aside to eyeball Ariane's art with forthright nosiness. He doesn't look up from it when she mentions the town being destroyed, but his eyebrows do rise slightly as he puts a fingertip on the edge of the notebook and tilts it a little further his way.
