The receptionist looks back at him with a vacant smile. He doesn't react to the prick, at least not with his face. His body does react: the prick bleeds--and bleeds more than one might expect a finger to bleed. It runs over the finger and only Alec, if he's still holding the receptionist's hand.

Yuri for his part, watches dispassionately until he notices the bleeding, then he curses and tugs the bandana from his pocket, taking the receptionist's hand from Alec.

"Jeez, I thought you said just a prick!"
