There's something to be said for the easy acceptance: it sets Flynn at ease. He's never minded being the welcoming committee, so to speak— better someone be there to shepherd the poor people through those first few hazy days— but it always makes him a little anxious. Some people don't take it well. He doesn't blame them, but he never knows what to do, either, except sit with them while they figure it out.
