Player intro: Hello, new player here! Canadian and currently working on finishing my PhD thesis, I'm into some JRPGs (like Tales of, naturally!) and other games, as well as some anime. Mostly I plurk about either RP or cat pictures because the boy is just too cute. If I stop tagging in the evenings, it's almost certainly because he's in my lap and there's no more space for the laptop.

Character Name: Estellise "Estelle" Sidos Heurassein
Canon: Tales of Vesperia
Vibes: Absolutely negative street smarts. A combination of polite, friendly, extremely sheltered, and a little hesitant, but also a bit stubborn when she sets her mind to something. She's not sure what to make of herself--the few memories she can recall versus what Yuri seems to think of her--and is both eager and afraid to find out. She's really happy to get to know people, explore, and experience things, though! In fact, she's known to like unusual experiences such as...dog food. For clothing, a mixture of cute, elegant, and modest; I picked up a few examples: one, two, three, four, five.
Memories: She knows she liked to read and share books with someone (Flynn), that she was trying to hide something about herself, and that she did some illegal stuff, possibly with Yuri involved, since she remembers his wanted poster. She's very unsure what to make of all this, together with Yuri telling her that he was a knight and thinks he was protecting her. Is she an imposter??? She does remember being given the nickname "Estelle", though, and that is a precious memory to her.
Initial Plans: Although she isn't sure what to make of all this, she is taking it somewhat in stride. Maybe because she hasn't heard about all the horrific stuff yet! She'll be willing to try and explore, but would prefer to avoid anything overly risky if they can help it... She can be indecisive, but if she sees someone in trouble, she will jump right in to try and assist! Since she's new, I imagine she'll take some time to get to know people and learn about the shenanigens that have been going on up until this point.

Player intro: Hello hello! Extremely excited to be here, as evidenced by the fact I stayed up until midnight on the 27th just to get my app in right as the app period opened. Grew up in the Pacific NW, now living on the East Coast, working in university admissions for a slate of professional-level master's programs. In my spare time, I read a lot, knit a little, and see as much theatre as I can afford. Also, married to Becca, so it's like 45% her fault I'm here. But in the best way.

Character Name: Daniel Tabor Arlington V. Please just call him Daniel. Or Darlington, but he won't quite remember that (yet).
Canon: the Alex Stern series, which is the disappointingly unimaginative collective name for the books Ninth House and Hell Bent, by Leigh Bardugo.

Vibes: Handsome, well-put-together WASP from Connecticut, with an overlay of more than mildly intense interest in learning everything. This boy craves knowledge, has a currently-mysterious-to-him high tolerance for the weird and magical, and looks like he does about three sports and runs six miles a day. He's polite, likely to be more open and friendly than he might be with all his memories, and projects the general vibe of being a little old-fashioned. There's also the not-so-small matter of him having gone to hell and Come Back ~~Wrong~~ Demonic, but we don't have to talk about that, do we?

Fashion-wise, his Well closet is largely going to be a combination of vaguely medieval scholar-prince (velvet! fine linen! jewel tones!) and western wear (jeans! duster coat! at least one pair of boots that still have spurs for an inexplicable reason!). There may be some armor that sneaks in there on occasion too, because Danny is and will always be a knight at heart. Thanks to my evil choices in the TDM, he also has the hideous fusion garment that is the bandana-print cloak, which he may be ritually burning at the first opportunity, thanks.

Memories: Lots of fragments: he remembers grieving people he tried and failed not to love and can't forgive, he knows he worked with/was disappointed by someone with the unfortunate name of Galaxy Stern, and at some point he had a cat. He also recalls being younger and...cooking something? that smelled awful but was going to be the first step in something wonderful. He also remembers trying to build--or rebuild--something important, but he can't quite tell what it was, or should be.

He also retained a basic knowledge of Latin, so at least that's potentially helpful.

Initial Plans: Anyone and everyone currently on the Well Mystery Investigation Squad, please expect a new member post-haste. Danny will be all about digging into the weirdness of Well, especially the more supernatural/magical aspects even if he doesn't know why he's so drawn to that in particular. When the danger starts to make itself known again, he'll be there to help out--he's got a baked-in lack of self-preservation and a chivalric willingness to defend the people and places he cares about. Come be his friend!

Hi hello! Super excited to be here! I'm bad at intros, so I'll try to cover the basics — I was born and raised on the East Coast, but then I moved to California a couple of years ago after the global panini, and I'm still getting used to it! I'm a technical writer for a game company that you might have heard of, and I have terrible taste in horrible (affectionate) fictional men. I'm actually still semi-new to DWRP since I only started in 2020, but despite Battlestar Galactica being my canon of all time, I haven't played anyone from it until now! Which is fine; I welcome any excuse to get back on my BSG bullshit!! I've been feral about this canon for twenty years and now you all have to put up with me!!

Character Name: Gaius Baltar
Canon: Battlestar Galactica (2003)
Vibes:

What he wants you to believe: articulate, cultured genius who has his shit together.

Reality: kind of an asshole, selfish, and cowardly. Described by several different people in canon as "a strange little man". Enjoys drinking, smoking, and casual hookups. Lies like a rug. He's still paranoid despite having no memories of important events (like that time he (unintentionally) caused the destruction of 99% of humanity ~~because he wanted to get laid~~ or whatever, it's FINE), but since he doesn't expect everyone to find out and kill him here, he'll at least find it a bit easier to deal with other people.

Aesthetic-wise, I have been poking around pinterest a bit, but I mostly have a great desire to force him into copious amounts of fringe because he will not love it but will have no choice.

Memories:

Gaius has his academic skills, so he remembers that he has a doctorate (and will probably make sure anyone who questions his intellect knows that, too, because he's annoying). Otherwise, he has some nebulous memory fragments that hint at what he's done in canon, but they're mostly a lot of uncomfortable feelings. Naturally, this has wiped out all of that good character development he had despite his canon point being post-canon. The big one is that he knows he did something very significant, and whatever it is no one can find out about it or else. He also kinda remembers being in love with a mysterious woman in a red dress who was scary and manipulated him, but was also the only person who protected him so??? It's complicated???

Initial Plans:

He is not loving it here so far haha. He wants nothing to do with anything spooky or horrific and has no problem saying so. He will also not rush to anyone's aid if he can help it, but barring other options, he will very reluctantly get involved because he's not a monster. He is capable of making more of an effort and taking a stand, but definitely not without coaxing or being backed into a corner.

I don't have any other specific plans otherwise, so I'm mostly open to whatever!

Vibes: imagine the world's smallest, most anxious red panda that gets scared by loud noises and hides behind trees that don't provide enough cover. there you go, there's suletta. she is polite, formal, and very down to help with whatever's giving your character trouble. however, this desire is hampered by her abysmal people skills which i'd generously score a 0 out of 10.

you better believe i am putting her in a little cape that has a bandana print on the inside.

Memories: suletta remembers she made a very important promise to someone, that she went to school, she knows first aid, and that she's one heck of a gardener. beyond that, she's got nothing.
Initial Plans: this is suletta's first time on earth and she's pumped to explore. the manor, the town, the sword that's out there in the forest...who knows. the sky's the limit. she may not know what's going on or who she is, but if there's anything she can do to make well a better place, she'll do it! she'll be terrified the whole time, though.

Hello! I'm Kelsey and I'm super excited to be playing in a game again! I'm a bit rusty at DWRP shit so bear with me as I get used to it all again ahahaha. I've been playing Loki in some capacity for a few years and well, the TV show came back and all, soooo. I've never played in a memloss game and I'm hype to probably just keep making myself sad about how bad Loki's normal life has gone ahahahahaha.

A little about me! I'm currently working at a library and live alone with my two cats. I like to play video games and crochet and sing along to broadway soundtracks. I'm a homebody, what can ya do?

Character Name: Loki
Canon: MCU/Loki D+
Vibes: Loki carries himself like royalty most of the time, and while that might be the first impression you get-- the British baritone doesn't hurt there either --he pretty quickly slips into theatrics, whether intentionally or not. He likes attention, and he loves being right, so he often comes off as a pompous know-it-all. Unfortunately for him, the things he usually lectures on are things he no longer remembers, so his anxious side is going to peek out a bit more just by virtue of him having nothing to be a know-it-all about now! He'll also likely compensate by instead trying to be the life of the party, though whether that will be a successful tact remains to be seen.
Memories: Loki knows how to do one (1) magic and it is sparklies. That is it. He's got a couple vague recollections of important people and an odd fondness for the concept of jetskis, but that's all pretty muddled. The most clear memory he has is of choosing to fall from the Bifrost after Odin rejected his attempts to prove himself worthy, so. That's a little harrowing.
Initial Plans: He sure as hell doesn't enjoy not knowing what's going on, so he'll probably be talking to people and trying to put some sort of theory together. And when that doesn't work, he'll probably be seeking distractions in the form of partying, when possible, so hopefully he can convince some folks to get drunk with him or else things are going to get Real Sad Real Fast.
