The waiter: When he enters the waiter, the soul in there is an amalgamation of many souls. The souls are fused together onto one slightly more whole soul. It's like the pieces of soul were put in place to fill holes in the original soul, like patching up an old pair of jeans. The pieces of soul shy away from him, but aren't violent and don't try to expel him. They seem afraid, fearful, of him, of their general situation. They clamor together, and form the waiter's voice through many voices, speaking overlaid together. Similar to the seances, he gets a general vibe of them being trapped, of wanting to get out. However, they are less forceful than the seance ghosts. They are tired and meek, and have little will left.

And they tell him what the special of the week is, over and over again.

The receptionist: Similarly, the soul in the receptionist is an amalgamation of many souls. The underlying soul of the receptionist is more fiery than the waiter. It doesn't want to cooperate with Pal and this soul does want to expel him. It is forceful about it, telling him that he should not be there, that he should be grateful, that he doesn't know what he has. It's an honor to be here. It's an honor to get to do this.

As for his body, it's fine. Nothing touches it. His wards and sigils work.
