Player intro: Hi everyone! I'm floral, I've been in the game with Ariane Yeong from Signalis for the last while, and now I'm bringing in a second character! This is Noelle Meinhardt from the 2011 web serial novel Worm, and you can find out more about her below. I tend to tag sporadically during the week with more tags on the weekends, but I'm very around for plotting. Other than that, I'm a nerd with a love for time travel stories, ghost stories, body horror, and the radio.

Character Name: Noelle Meinhardt

Vibes: Noelle's appearance is... striking, to say the least. The first thing your character will likely notice about her is that she's 8-9 feet tall, and most of that height comes from her waist down. Noelle's "lower half" is a fleshy, monstrous mass of amalgamated animal heads, limbs, tentacles, eyes and the like. It breathes, drools, blinks, and squirms. Here's some fanart for reference. From the waist up, however, Noelle is a fairly small, shy, and sickly-looking teenage girl. The one nice thing she gets in Well is a red peasant blouse with fun, poofy sleeves.

Memories: Noelle's clearest memories are from her life as an Elite Gamer (tm). Before arriving in Well, Noelle was the captain of an internationally-ranked e-sports team. She's logged thousands of hours in Ransack, a fictional game with striking similarities to League of Legends. Noelle will try to analyze her situation, and Well's deal in general, through the lens of a gamer mindset, like Well is a puzzle to be solved. One memory, however, isn't like the others - Noelle remembers a near-death experience, which terrifies her almost as much as her body does.

Initial Plans: Noelle has no recollection of turning into a half-kaiju, so her initial plans will revolve around dealing with that shock. Right now, Noelle is terrified of herself, and even more scared of other people judging her, so she'll be spending most of her time in the woods and in the maze, away from the center of town. She will be a heavy user of the walkie-talkies, however, and she does want friends, so I'd love for her to strike up some remote friendships! She might also sneak into town in the dead of night to read and put up sticky notes on the bulletin board. Please do not perceive her.

Player intro: hey gamers it's me ya girl cel. i've been here for a while with power lesbian and gun-haver Emerald Sustrai, and now i'm bringing a new OC of mine to play in the cool normal town. a quick summary of her deal is available on her journal. please be aware of content warnings for sickness, disease, chronic illness, death, murder, depersonalization, demonic possession, and abusive relationships.

Character Name: Jessica Richter Blythe, but she prefers Blythe

Vibes: If you open up the dictionary to "weird girl", you could find a picture of Blythe there. She dresses in loose-fitting clothes that don't show off her form very well (though she'll be on the lookout for sharp jackets specifically) and walks around almost like she's in a daze a lot of the time. She talks like she's looking at everything from a distance and, because she feels fragmented and can't remember why, has problems regarding herself as a person with a life and a personality. This extends to other people, too, because surely everyone else feels this way all the time. She does know how to be a person, and even a somewhat nice one, but she'll need a lot of help to get there.

Memories: Blythe remembers enough to be dangerous, but doesn't really feel the need to act on it. She knows that she hates rich people enough to kill them (and that she enjoys doing it), and knows that she has to give consent to something to actually do it. She remembers being incredibly afraid of dying, and specifically of dying alone, unnoticed, with no one to mourn her. It's made doubly bad with the knowledge of her own chronic illness, her frailty, all of it making it feel like there's something wrong with her in ways that go too deep to find words for. Most importantly, she does not remember Pestilence, the Horseman, who has been possessing her for the past twelve or thirteen years. Pestilence is here with her, though, and She doesn't like being forgotten! Uh-oh, Blythe!

Initial Plans: Honestly, this is a post-capitalist society and she's gonna be thrilled to exist in it. It might actually give her the time to sit back and sort through why she feels the way she does all the time. Maybe she can learn that she is a complete person who's allowed to want things and have friends (or at least be weird among a bunch of like-minded weirdos).

HELLO FRIENDS. I was originally here with Gaius and adored the setting, but the end of 2023 was not kind, so I'm here now with my other blorbo of all time! I've been excited to app him in since Christmas so I'M SO READY. I apologise in advance for my annoying niche special interest in the Bakumatsu era ~~unfollow me now this is all I'm gonna tweet about for the next week~~.

Ryouma is from the mobage Fate/Grand Order, which is where all his spoopy magic bullshit comes from, and I take his entire backstory and heavily supplement from the novel Ryōma ga Yuku! / Ryōma Goes His Way by Ryōtarō Shiba. It's such a fun novel, but it's also four 500-page volumes long, so I'll be canon reviewing for awhile yet...

Character Name: Sakamoto Ryouma

Renaissance samurai cowboy. I'm not entirely sure what that looks like since it's never the same amalgamation of those three things, so use your imagination (and add more fringe), and you're probably correct.

He's happy to befriend everybody and probably comes off as an idiot because he's really just vibing and trying to enjoy himself while he's here. He's fully in his himbo phase, so that's the energy.

Ryouma also has an inkling that there's something about him that's Not Quite Human, but has decided he Does Not See It because it would mean his life is a lot more complicated than he thinks it is. Your character is free to notice this and mention it to him, but he probably won't believe it! OOCly, I intend to let him live in denial for a bit before he has to accept it.

Memories:

The nice thing about memloss is that I never have to explain anything about Fate/ ICly, and that's amazing, but a little context will help this make more sense. Ryouma is a Servant, which in the simplest possible terms means he's the spirit of a dead famous person summoned into a completely magical body, which is relevant to his memories because a Servant is literally shaped by their memories; the person that they are is what gives them form.

That means most of Ryouma's initial memories are more abstract feelings and impressions instead of thoughts or events. It's why he feels more comfortable when he's close to others and why he's perfectly at ease with monster people who are visibly inhuman, even if he doesn't understand why. It's more like "muscle memory" than anything else. There is no way that this will complicate things with his new cr or anything, nah. :)

Ryouma does remember a bit about his life, so he knows he was a samurai in the 1860s but recalls very little in the way of solid details from that time. He knows he intended to make a living with his sword and he has his full mastery of his kendo skills as well. He does not remember that he was a Servant who basically gave his soul to the World-deliberate-capital-W and got bait and switched into a job slaughtering people for all of eternity to stop the world from ending or even that he died. As far as he knows, he's just a normal human guy in his mid-20s out here to have a good time!!

Initial Plans:

Ryouma will continue vibing and trying to make friends! He's aware there is something weird and mysterious about all this, but he will not be super motivated to solve any mysteries on his own (but feel free to drag him into stuff). He will most likely be down to get drunk a lot and spar with people as he embraces his dumb jock energy and tries very hard not to perceive his own inhumanness.

Character Name: astarion ancunín
Canon: balder's gate 3
Vibes: he looks and acts like a prissy little guy. High class tastes and he wants you to know about it. He talks like Tim Curry and looks like David Bowie in Labyrinth. He's an elf with the pointy ears and everything, and has red eyes and quite prevalent puncture marks on his neck. He finds it fun when people are awful and will encourage bad behavior.
Memories: He knows not many things: he is a vampire. He has a worm in his brain. He ate a rat once (hopefully only once, he thinks). He can use a sword and is so sneaky. His back is pretty fucked up. None of this makes much sense to him but he isn't going to tell you that.
Initial Plans: I'm interested to see what Astarion is like without all his baggage and trauma. So far, honestly, not that different! He still sort of sucks, but in like an intriguing way? Hopefully. I want to toss him around with people who will like how he sucks, and people who will not like how he sucks, pun intended.

If anyone wants to get bit by a vampire hmu. It can be sexy or not. Or he can just go eat more rats.
