Maybe, but payin' too much attention to the lies would do the same thing, yeah? Me, I'm thinkin' less about what's true and what ain't, and more about what the folk spreadin' a story are gettin' out of it. If folk goin' through bad times want to believe High Lady Dal's goin' to welcome them to her table after they die, I got no fight with that. I don't believe it one bit, but I get why folk do. But if somebody's tellin' folk that the only way of gettin' to the High Lady's table is to do whatever the Tohsires or the turdblowin' nobles ask of them without complainin', that's a whole other dalpoundin' thing. That, I got a problem with.

[It seems very simple to him, even if he struggles to put his position into words. He's not sure why it isn't so simple to everyone else.]
