Arthas spent a lot of his time putting his combat skills to use and thinking of himself as a guardian of the town. What memories he still has tell him he used to be a paladin, but he's got eyes and knows what he looks like, so Arthas is well aware that isn't the whole story. He's gotten to be the helpful knight guy by choice, so now it's time for the horrors to jump out much less voluntarily.

After the first murder, he will probably try to withdraw and distance himself as he tries to stifle the urge and pray/meditate it away as you do. Thoughts and prayers will fix this (no). The problem is that causing death and suffering feels really good when you're a Death Knight, and he is kind of a shit paladin in general, so the urge is also kind of addictive? It's a bad time.

💀 I would really like him to do some unpopular murders! It's very on brand for him, especially if he kills people who hmmm don't really deserve it because he does not discriminate. I am so willing to have him endure the hate.

💀 People trying and failing to kill him because he's actually an undead horror, and he's really hard to kill.

💀 But also someone managing to finally kill him! It is doable with effort, and I am open to it! He's a fancy zombie kill him like one~

💀 Sitting around commiserating about death/losing control/being a monster/etc. I am SO HERE FOR ALL OF THAT GIVE IT TO ME. Arthas has not had to confront any of this at all so far, so I am excited to spartan kick him directly into the deep end of having to deal with this and see where it goes. Recovering his necromancy is on the table with the points.

💀 If he ever ends up in the catacombs, I think the glitter room should give him a weird glitter horse that turns into meat and makes him feel weirdly sad.
