The man rushes Daine and she tenses, baring suddenly yellowed, sharp teeth, fingers becoming hooked claws, before she recognizes the gesture and her features return to human. She allows him to give her his jacket, but isn't particularly graceful about it, muttering "You could warn a person, you know."

Cold and damp help her to get more out of her powers, but she doesn't actually know that and the tunnel is uncomfortable without fur, giving her gooseflesh. The skeleton helps her with the jacket. Some of its bones are fractured or fragmentary, and rather than all fitting together and clicking regularly they're suspended in midair just slightly apart, as if any missing bones and all flesh is simply invisible. In fact, it leaves footprints like bare, intact human feet.
