oh this is spectacular. This is wonderful. Pal isn't going to like this answer, probably, but here's what he'll be able to pick up:

So, so much death. A truly wild amount of death, and the worst part is, it is absolutely everywhere. Certainly it's fresher and clearer where characters have recently died (for example, the Staywell, and just outside it where Flynn died), but where there's death there must have been life, so.... there was, once, lots of life here. It's just that all that life is gone, and the death overwhelms the life, in a strange kind of way. All of that will act as a kind of static, like the background hum of the universe, underpinning everything else he picks up and maybe in some cases fritzing out any detail because it's so strong and so pervasive.
