oh my gosh, I was just yelling on plurk about how exited I am for a Dax! I think she and Pal would get on extremely well. Pal has been doing a ton of note-taking, and would definitely make a beeline towards anyone doing to same. I also bet they could get into some wonderfully ill-advised science shenanigans.
