OOC announcements
Welcome to cycle 4! Wellstone got a facelift, trading in the hot and dry for the cool and damp. While a nice reprieve from the desert, the lush forest comes with its own trials...
There will be no event post on the main comm. Instead, make your own logs to include these prompts, and any other prompts you want to add. There will be a mini-event log mid-month.
Use the happenings form to report on what your character’s been up to! Did you break something? Did you get into a screaming match in the middle of town? Spill the tea! Everyone’s thirsty for gossip.
Post any bulletins to the bulletin board.
Fill out as much or as little of this form as you like:
New this month
At the Staywell
Breakfast is laid out every morning in the dining room, with a spread of breads and cheeses and pastries. All taste perfectly fresh, and are warm to the touch no matter what time you come down to breakfast.Dinner is served more formally, the dining table made with plates and cutlery already laid out. This month, the diners alternate between a feast with a roast vegetables and a ham served with hearty bread; and pies stuffed with meats or vegetables served with a salad.
The General Store
The General Store is full of novelty items themed around the medieval: pens shaped like quills, notebooks shaped like dragons and castles, tiny letter openers shaped like swords, keychains shaped like shields, and more! If you could find it at a renaissance fair, it's fair game (as long as it's useless! No real swords or armor here).Around town
The tavern’s special for the month: A cheesecake covered in chocolate on a stick. The pub is now serving mead, and has its own casks of it behind the bar.
The baths are gleaming and beautiful, at odds with the vibe of town.
When you visit the few other locations in town, you’ll find the employees friendly and welcoming, although they may say some strange things, in addition to the handful of phrases they usually say:
The receptionist: “Welcome, welcome, I hope the rooms are to your liking. Let me know if you need me to build up the fire." Which he won't do, if asked.
Owner of the General Store: "All's well in love and war, ain't it?" And he winks at you.
The bartender: "The sword, eh? Wouldn't go after that if it were me. The forest isn't your friend."
The waiter: “Oh, good! Best to stay inside. It's so chilly out there!” He serves you a slice of cheesecake in your favorite flavor.
The gravedigger: She watches you ominously, if you can find her.
The sheriff: Is drooping in the heat of the baths.
From the stone
Content warnings: potential for impalement & light stabbing
It comes to you first in a dream.
A voice, soundless, booms through your skull. You're floating in formless darkness, staring straight ahead.
You're awake, it says, except you know that isn't true. You know what you must do, it says, but you don't think that you do, actually. You open your mouth to ask, but you can't speak and there's an awful pressure in your head, pressing down on your ears and through your sinuses, expanding and contracting all at once. Your tongue is too thick to speak. Go, says the voice. The darkness around you bursts into green: you're in a forested glade, dappled with sunlight thick and bright enough to taste. A single beam falls through a crack in the trees, lighting up a shining sword thrust deep into a moss-covered stone. You reach for it; your hand is armor-covered and bright.
The voice comes back like a thunderclap, booming through the clearing, just as your fingers curl around the hilt: Find the sword.
You wake up with the smell of ivy in your nose.
From the moment you have this dream, no matter how you may personally feel about Swords and Quests and Tales of Heroes, you'll be struck every now and again with the urge to fling yourself into the dark woods around Wellstone to find the sword. You can go, of course, at any time. If you don't, the urge will get stronger. The dream will repeat more and more often until you find yourself over and wall and in the woods without even really meaning to do that, desperate to find that clearing and that sword. You're sure that if you do, everything will be fixed.
Is there, in fact, a sword?
Of course there is.
It won't be easy to find the glade—the woods are twisting and dark and full of terrors—but it is possible to do. You may come across those same nasty vines from the maze, or brambles that catch your feet. Eyes follow you from the darkness, red-bright, making you feel intensely paranoid the deeper you go. They itch on your skin and under your clothes. Growls and grunts and wild groans echo from the trees around you.
You might get caught in the forest’s own mechanics and get thrown into the maze or back to the start. You might get attacked. Those snarling, growling sounds get louder the deeper you go, and they might just erupt into a pack of—well, wolves, but if you're tuned into the differences you might notice that they're sort of a mish-mash of a bunch of different red-eyed canids: coyotes with wolfish snouts, wolves with brushy red-fox tails, foxes the size of lions with coyote-sharp teeth and painted dog ears wide and swiveling. They'll surround you quickly and attack fiercely, bent on tearing you apart.
But as you get closer to the sword, following a small, easily ignored path that branches off deep in the woods, a chorus of ethereal voices grows louder around you. If you're being chased, the creatures chasing you will fall away, their own voices fading. The chorus crescendos when you step into a bright, dewy clearing. There it is: the sword from your dream, embedded in a stone, shining in a beam of sunlight no matter what time of day you set out or what the weather was like before.
If you’re there with a companion, or several, you will need to decide if who will try to take the sword first. Or, you might try together.
Comment below to see how your sword finding adventure ends! You may try multiple times if you fail at first. You may only succeed once. Let us know if you'd like a mundane failure or if you're open to a horrifying one.

tl;dr:
- You have a strange dream calling on you to make a quest to find a sword in a stone. If you ignore this call, the dreams get more insistent.
- If you embark on this quest, you must venture into the woods and find a small, unobtrusive path that will lead you to a clearing where you find the sword from your dream.
- Comment below and the mods will roll for your result! It could be great, just okay, or truly terrible.

Content warnings: encouraged intimacy, emotional vulnerability, altered mental states
The bathhouse is a new addition to town: a gleaming interior at odds with the rest of the run-down buildings, it’s oddly inviting with its moist coyote attendant and plush towels and three dressing rooms. Every night, even in the thick fog, golden light spills through the high barred windows, making it easier to find than anything else.
After three months of very little water, the baths are a real luxury. In sharp contrast to the chill outside, it's warm and cozy, and it smells wonderful: the most wonderful scent you can imagine emanates from the water, enticing you in. It seems to smell different for everyone, too. One person might smell a relaxing cedar while another smells sweet, soft vanilla. Soak your tired muscles and sink into the scent around you.
While you're in the water, it's hard to feel anything but relaxed. Sitting in the water makes you feel vulnerable and open. Suddenly, you're craving company: it would be a shame to just sit here alone, wouldn't it? You're drawn to the people around you, wanting to get closer, to share this experience and maybe a little bit of yourself. The sense of warmth and openness smooths over your pricklier feelings. You feel more open and willing to be close to people: emotionally, physically. Share a hug, a kiss, a secret. It all feels good, even if usually it might feel scary to show the soft, vulnerable parts of yourself.
You can handle the repercussions of that kiss or confession out in the cold fog of morning.

memento mori
Content warnings: ghosties
Every night in Wellstone, after the sun sets and the chill that the sun staved off bites at your toes, thick fog settles heavy over the town. It laps at the windows of Staywell Manor, curling in strange patterns against the glass The trees circling the town look like dark soldiers emerging from the mist.
Braving the fog means you'll want to bulk up on warm clothes and a solid mental map of the town, if you've formed one yet, because it'll be very easy to lose your way and end up down some dark alley, and this month, that's not a good thing.
You can certainly hear them: muffled voices echoing down damp cobbled streets; a cut-off scream or a voice raised in helpless anger; sobbing so heartbroken it chills your bones. You can see them, too. A silvery gown flashes, a hand reaches out from the fog, a strange light glints off thick armor and the blade of a sword: ghosts. Lots of them.
Some of those ghostly forms seem familiar. They’re people you know, or think you might know. They might even be you, silvery and translucent. They’re playing out moments in your life, memories that you don’t have: moments of pain, of heartbreak, of joy, of love. Every memory played out by the ghosts has some emotion at its core.
Stay to watch, and the ghosts may stir a memory in you. Or, you may watch a memory that you can’t remember and try to piece it together. Or, you may watch someone else’s, and learn something about their lives.
Or, sometimes, the ghosts you see look just a little odd. They just look like people with sheets draped over them. And they seem to see you, and they wail "ooooOOOOOooooO!" and disappear into the fog.
After the memory plays out, the ghosts disappear into the fog.

tl;dr:
- The fog is thick and dense after dark, making it difficult to find your way around.
- However, in the fog you find shapes, some familiar, and some not, playing out memories that you've lost. The memories are focused on times of great emotions: both good and bad.
- Once the memory plays out in the ghostly forms, the ghosts vanish.
- You can regain up to 3 memory points with this prompt, one per time you interact with the prompt (both if it's your character's memory, and if it's someone else's).

So. The bathhouse. Is it like, western spa style rules where you wear bathing suits or is it more like onsen rules where you're naked except for maybe a too-small towel? Or is this more up for the characters to decide?

Ruby Rose | RWBY
Your pronouns: He/Him
Contact:
Character name: Ruby Rose
General ideas or plans for the month: Ruby's in a bit of a rough spot! She was starting to open up to people and then last month her double killed one of her friends. And that friends double emotionally tormented her about it. Now that friend doesn't remember what happened but Ruby does. ...And she's just "This is fine"ing through all of it. She seems a bit more open than she has in the past but is also kind of putting on a show with it.
So if anyone wants to get in on that kind of stuff, feel free.
Event ideas:
Sword: Ruby is getting a toilet paper roll sword. She's okay with this but prefers problem solving gun-kun in most situations. ...It's probably running low on ammo by now and will run out with the setting shift. Anyone want to get up to shenanigans with a teen girl and a giant roll of toilet paper? Prepare to get pranked.
Drawn to you: Girl has had a rough time and deserves a break to chill out and maybe be a little more vulnerable and honest about why she's pushed so many people away and that she does actually care about people here. Get a hug, or maybe a cuddle?
Or maybe girls night in the bathhouse!?
Momento Mori: Ruby will be confronted by the ghost of a dead red haired robot girl. Who will either be there to sing her praises about how close her and Ruby were. Or super disappointed that Ruby failed to rescue her when she died. Either way! SUPER FUN TIMES, right?
TDM prompts: Also down to explore the maze, either be saved from vines, or help people out from them.
Are you planning to create a log this month? Most likely!

Flynn Scifo | Tales of Vesperia
Your pronouns: he/they
Contact:
Character name: Flynn Scifo
General ideas or plans for the month: Honestly Flynn is thriving over here. Don't get me wrong: his 3.3 sucked big time, and he got slammed with about three years' worth of various memories at once while being kidnapped, so he's still dealing with the fallout of that and their failure to save the town again, but on the other hand: did you all know that there is a bathhouse and he can be clean again?? He's gonna be spending a LOT of time in there once he figures out he's allowed to go through the doors. When Flynn's not actively getting clean, he'll be checking in with most of his existing CR to check they came through the end okay and trying to do as much recon of the new town as he can.
Event ideas:
Sword: Flynn has failed to get a sword and will be getting, um, lightly impaled / stuck to a tree with branches and shards of rock. Someone please save him?? He'll be trying multiple times because, gestures at him, so would love for him to accompany other folks on their attempts. He's available to heal folks back up after failures, too!
Drawn to you: Listen there's like a 50/50 chance that Flynn can be found in the bathhouse this month, and I'd LOVE to use this prompt for a lot of emotional intimacy and maybe some light platonic intimacy! Talk to Flynn about your feelings and problems and let him wash your hair. This would be a great prompt for catching up from the last cycle!
If your name is Yuri Lowell he has other plans for you
Memento Mori: Flynn's going to encounter two different ghosts: his dad, running through knightly training drills with a four-year-old Flynn, and also a small ten-year-old Flynn sobbing about losing his mom. Fun times for him!! Would also dearly love for him to see other folks' ghosts.
Are you planning to create a log this month? It is here and prompts will be coming along tomorrow!

Character name: Daniel Arlington
General ideas or plans for the month: Danny is largely going to be getting his bearings this month, seeing as he's so new! Super down for anything good, bad, or neutral that'll help him build CR (or build on the stuff that's already started brewing in his TDM threads).
He finds the manor familiar and comforting in a way that he can't quite explain right now (though who knows how long that'll last, in a place like this), so he's likely to be found hanging around there, along with occasional ventures into either the pub or the tavern, and looking through the general store for the most useful of the useless stuff.
Event ideas:
Sword: As I a) laughed about it loud enough to scare the cat and b) am incapable of passing up the chance, Darlington will be getting himself an accordion sword, thank you mods for this beautiful gift. Would love to have him join up with another group of sword-venturers or have people join him; he doesn't know it, but he's actually got some experience fighting sinister and mysterious wolf-things, so he'll be a decent one to have if things get dangerous.
Bathtime: Since he's so new and hasn't regained anything super confessional, I don't have plans to do much with this prompt where Darlington's concerned! That said, it'd be fun to rope him into being a listening ear for anyone who does have something to confess, so I'd be perfectly happy with getting him involved somehow that way.
Ghosts: This is the hardest one to make decisions on. I have to do something, but for right now I'm torn between a few options:
* Good memory: A ghostly Darlington and Alex, smashing a seemingly endless supply of crystal glassware and fine china. They're both extremely drunk.
* Bad memory: A hulking, ram-horned demon covered in golden runes, looming over the cowering shade of a once-dignified older man. Various tortures ensue.
* Tragic memory: A much younger Danny, sitting at the top of the stairs (or I guess up in a tree for these purposes, because forest), eavesdropping on his parents and grandfather fighting.
Theoretically, all of these could just be options for any given thread under this prompt (coin flip? choose your own adventure? something), so that is an option, but I also feel like I should maybe winnow it down to just one? There's just so many memories that could be fun to play with.

Character name: Palamedes Sextus
General ideas or plans for the month:
Pal is HAVING A TIME. To recap, last month he had a VERY embarrassing conversation with DDax, got kidnapped and tortured by tentacle monsters, remembered some awful details surrounding his death, and watched his double kill Cecelia and get torn apart by Darin. Oh, and also, he battled the King Undying’s evil twin and figured out that his buddy John Gaius is actually the shitty totalitarian leader of his people and also God.
So this month he’s going to be Dealing With The Fallout. He needs to reunite with basically…everyone and make sure they’re all okay, and probably explain what the hell was up with that whole Skelebrawl thing. He will try to give the basics to anyone who asks (all while apologizing profusely), though he won’t go into detail with anyone but his close cr.
Aside from looking after his people, Pal is going to be doing lots of exploring and investigating (and likely senance-ing), because trying to solve the mystery of Wellstone is a great way to avoid thinking about your trauma!
Event ideas:
I love All Of These, but this month I mostly want to bounce off other people! Have a ghosty memory you want to share with Pal? Need a buddy for your sword quest? Want to spill your guts while taking a hot bath? Pal’s ur guy! He’s built like a stick and will insist of wearing a silly wizard hat, but he does know magic.
Are you planning to create a log this month? Probably not an open one, though I’m happy to write private prompts for any of the reunioning that needs to happen.

1. Stupidest fight ever about the ghosts vs hologram. I am laughing so much about this. I'm thinking this prompt is really great for it because clearly, those aren't their actual ghosts, they're physically right here? This is one she'd feel safe about referring to a holographic projection of a recording of a memory.
I am planting seeds for Dax's end-of-cycle fake memory conclusion so she's going to be only seeing rather than remembering them! I am still trying to think on what little memory glimpses I'll give her, but I think she and Pal watching one of hers could be great for this (since she won't hold back on her opinions if it's her own). Any vibe preference on memory (or any moment of hers you think would be interesting for Pal)?
2. Post-brawl reunion. Look... she's wants to hug him, tell him he's a brave idiot, and kiss him on the cheek. Y/N?
3. The DDax fallout... that conversation...

General ideas or plans for the month: For the first week, Diluc won’t really be easy to locate. He’s going to take some time and have a little bit of a breakdown. Then he’ll get his shit together.
He’ll be out and about after that. Exploring, connecting with people, and in general figuring out what the fuck. The outpost at the edge of town he builds every cycle will be built once more.
Event ideas:
Fog memories:
- battle memories (a dragon fight, fighting a certain someone on a rainy night, and foggy version of his night work.
- interaction memories (bartending, discussion about something, and confrontation between a knight captain and himself in his office)
- requests ( you can request a specific here if you like. A memory of a specific emotion or thing you wish to know.)
Bathhouse:
Will be brief. Once he realizes what it does, he will avoid it. Bathe when he needs to but avoid it otherwise. However, I’m open to people learning more about Diluc this way! He’s just closing off as comes to remember himself.
Sword in the stone:
- he will meet with failure on this one. Which tbh could be fascinating to play out. The conversations to be had about it!

Character name: Yuri Lowell
General ideas or plans for the month:
Yuri died last cycle, killed by Flynn's double, and it was a doozy. He's in a weird headspace, and has a new lease on life, but in a weird, morbid sort of way.
He also forgot how to use his sword, which is deeply tied to his identity, so I'm excited to play with that, and have him be more of a damsel if anyone wants to rescue an angry, hissing cat of a man.
Also his bestie Estelle is here now, and he's torn between being glad to see her and upset because she shouldn't have to deal with this, and now he's not as helpful to protect her.
Event ideas:
Swords - His sword is a lollypop! Not helpful, but pretty funny. Without his own sword skills, he'll need help getting this quest done. Would love a quest buddy or two to explore the forest, and deal with him being Very Frustrated about his lack of skills. He might punch a wolf!
Baths - Let's be soft together. He's not a touchy person, so this is a fun opportunity for some platonic physical intimacy. I'd love for him to get deep with folks, whether he knows you already or not, and share fears or desires or hopes for the future.
Memories - I'd like to mostly give Yuri memories of times when people showed up for him, like:
1. His friends coming to find him in a forest and telling him he's an idiot for trying to go off on his own. His dog snitched on him, so you get to see a dog too.
2. His bestie (Flynn but you won't be able to see his face) challenging him to a fight and being very dramatic and gay about it. And Yuri wins the fight and Flynn is very proud of him for it.
Also very down for him to see other people's memories, especially ones where they make poor choices.

sorry he's busy
but also this made me think: we haven't had them do memshare since ehmead hill and what if flynn witnesses The Other Boy fighting Yuri in the deeply gay way and gets, like. sort of jealous. of himself.

Character name: Min-Gi Park
General ideas or plans for the month: Mostly just generally settling into the new location, and trying to have a chill time after how rough the last few months have been. He did luck out and end up with a badass sword, but that's 100% going to just be a conversation starter if he does carry it around. It's very cool, but it's also very dangerous and he is way too worried to try and actually use it.
Event ideas: Bathhouse, bathhouse! No smooching because he and Ryan have already been having a bad enough time without adding that to it, but I'm very down for snuggles or soul spilling. He can share some stuff or be a good listening ear if there's something your character needs to say.
I think a lot of the time he's going to be wary of the fog, but he can't avoid it for the whole month so I'm definitely down to see some ghosts. For the most part his own will probably be familial, but I'm down for him seeing other's ghosts too.
Are you planning to create a log this month? Maybe! If nothing else he has a top-level at John's party.
Estellise Sidos Heurassein | Tales of Vesperia
Your pronouns: she/her

Character name: Estelle
General ideas or plans for the month: Estelle is new and therefore just kind of vibing, discovering the place and its people. She just learned she has some mysterious powers but doesn't know how to use them, so they'll only be activated subconsciously in response to danger.
Event ideas:
Sword Quest - Estelle does not remember any of her combat skills whatsoever! But she's still available if anyone wants a quest buddy. She'll be going with Yuri where she'll fail her own attempted draw.
Baths - She's available to listen if your character wants to discuss feelings! She'll be more likely to go in with other girls because she is actually a bit of a prude regarding nudity but we'll make it work for dude friends as well.
Ghosts - My memory ideas for Estelle are the following: 1) A young Estelle playing pretend by herself, dressed up as a hero with a little wooden sword, "rescuing" some toys - essentially playing out a fairy tale. 2) Alongside a group of faceless ghosts who decide to distract a guard via seduction, Estelle declaring that she'll prove she can be sexy. And proceeding to seemingly not entirely understand what that even means. And 3) The downer option of Estelle sitting on the ground, crying that she killed someone she wanted to help.
Are you planning to create a log this month? Undecided, though I can make a catch-all for any planned threads that come up!

Character name: Qrow Branwen
General ideas or plans for the month: Qrow's been somewhat stuck in a rut for a while, having learned some things about his past in a violent survivalist bandit tribe and his troubled relationship with alcohol, but in the last week or so of the previous cycle, he was kidnapped and remembered being a huntsman, so that will be putting him on the path toward digging himself back out of his hole & being more proactive about things again.
Event ideas:
- Qrow is going on a Sword Quest and will end up with a gummi worm sword, which is hilarious. Anyone want a Little Treat.
- Baths! I am open to all manner of intimacies, tho limiting anything like a one-night stand to characters 25+. Cuddles and feelings talk is ota meanwhile.
- Ghosts:
1) Happy memory: learning how to fly under the supervision of his mentor, Ozpin
2) Tense memory: a confrontation with his sister at an inn regarding family and a war. References to someone named "Salem" and a "spring maiden".
3) Tense memory: Argument with James Ironwood about bringing his fleet into Vale during the Vytal Festival

General ideas or plans for the month: this is suletta's first time on earth and she is not going to waste it. she's definitely exploring as much as possible. there's trees! natural air! lots of animals that will freak her out the second they appear! maybe she can poke around to see if there's a community garden...?
Event ideas:
sword: suletta is getting a kickass sword that she'll have no idea how to use. i'd love to do threads where someone is either helping coach her toward
claiming the throne of englandpulling out the sword, swordplay training, or suletta cheering on someone claiming their destiny.drawn to you: she is an excellent listener. tell her your problems. she'll stumble her way through advice if they want it. the stuttering will be worse if there's any light physical intimacy involved. hand holding and hugs only, please.
memento mori: not sure if i'll do this one, but i'm super down for her to see other people's ghosts!
Are you planning to create a log this month? yes, hopefully!

Character name: Darin Altway
General ideas or plans for the month: general recovery after the hellstorm that was the last month/cycle. Darin's going to be so excited to have a pub so if you want to hang out with a man who can't physically get drunk, now's the time. He's also got some new powers in the form of transmutation magic...so you might catch him experimenting with some of that!
Event ideas: So, aside from bumming around town, if anyone wants to go with Darin to get a Kazoo Katana, he would love the company. He's also shameless as hell so if any guys want bathhouse shenanigans, Darin can oblige. Feel free to ask about the giant scar across his back! He only kinda remembers how that happened. As for ghost fog, I've got a few memories in mind: Darin having to leave home after being framed for murder is the big one! But I've got some smaller memory ides as well!

General ideas or plans for the month:
G-get used to tagging again, ahahaha. But also, Loki's going to actually be surprisingly comfy with a lot of pieces of this place, like mead??? So that's going to honestly kind of amp up his desire to figure out if maybe he's, idk, a different kind of amnesiac and he does actually live here??? Maybe he's an NPC who gained sentience you can't prove anything you're not his MOM don't talk to him about moms actually that's very confusing rn
Event ideas:
Definitely rolling for a sword. DEFINITELY doing awkward bath times. Will be attending the dick party. Probably also going to see some ghosts. I don't know what kind?? Loki's got a lot of highly charged emotional memories just Being Himself so there are many options.
Are you planning to create a log this month? oh god i don't know probably not i don't have my sea legs yet
Camilla Hect | The Locked Tomb
Your pronouns: they/them
Contact:
Character name: Camilla Hect ("Cam" is also fine.)
General ideas or plans for the month: Well, first of all, she has a new
facePBface! I mean. What. She's always looked like this. (But yes, it is a new PB, not some weird temporary thing so don't feel like your char should notice.)Uh, Cam's October sucked. Started out of the gate with torture; came back with shiny new trauma and memories of the murderer who killed and impersonated her bff and made her feel shitty and betrayed just in time to have double shenanigans that included feeling shitty and betrayed by her more recent bff, and realizing she had failed to protect anyone she cares about; ended the month with getting her face rotted and a skele-battle that luckily got stopped by the end of the world.
So this month I'm just planning for good and/or light stuff! Sword quests, finding armor, taking a GODDAMN BATH after the no water for a month. Staring like a crazy person at all these plants she has no idea even existed and don't give her a headache or anything, she's just never seen them. Low on torture and sacrificing herself.
She will want to find everyone she's friends with from the last cycle and immediately check on them, especially if they helped during the battle.
Event ideas:
~SWORD IN THE STONE~
Cam actually got a gd beautiful sword first try! She and Pal are going to team up on this one and become the rightful kings of Wellstone
along with like half a dozen others, but I'm happy for her to tag along on anyone else's sword quests. She's going to be very happy to have a real blade, despite preferring knives. She'd be happy to have someone whose weapon that is teach her how to master it.The multiple swords in play might be a good kick-off for the idea I've had simmering for her to start a "fight club", which is really just a more organized way to find sparring partners and teach each other different things, and every so often having events where people can join in and fight in different kinds of disciplines. (Contact is okay; trying to kill each other is not. I'll figure out some way to safety-bind the swords. Uh. Or people just won't get to use real swords. We can have long sticks. Whatever.)
~BATHTIME SOCIAL CLUB~
Cam's biggest (ish) lingering issue right now is being very averse to and a little bit triggered by touch because of *waves at October* (and she's really annoyed by it!), so I'm being careful with this one. I think any snuggling(+/-) is going to be limited to Pal only unless it just really ends up perfect for a particular moment: I feel like she could leave a touch-starved snuggle session with someone she's only a LITTLE friendly with and suddenly feel really weird and even like it was potentially unfair to the people she's close to, and November isn't about that! Angst is so last month!
That said, she will love the bathhouse, especially because I can imagine her working out more and developing a practicing-with-sword routine, so I am absolutely up for threads with emotional vulnerability that she wouldn't ordinarily be as open to. I'll probably throw a "catch her in the baths and open up about stuff on your mind" prompt on a catch-all, or possibly tag in on other people's.
She might try to go early/late to avoid awkwardly wanting to get all up on people, lol: if you think it's funny for her, post-realizing the effects, to catch your antisocial character (or, hell, interrupt two characters trying to have some sexy time), those are things I would play too!
~GHOSTS IN THE MIST~
I'm happy to have her see other people's ghosts, but I've got a few ideas for Cam:
- I've sort of exhausted the angst of her having deduced she has a sister but not knowing her name or anything about her, so I was thinking of having a memory of Kiki show up where she learns her name and confirms they're siblings, whether that's one from canon or one of her as a small child with her sister, or somewhere in between with the Oversight Committee or whatever. (I actually don't think Kiana is called by name in any of the scenes she's really in in Nona so maybe nothing quite so sad yet.)
- Memories from Canaan House that involve who the hell Gideon and/or Harrow are, in general; have talked about this one a little with Becca.
- Conversely, a memory -- could be angsty, could be domestic -- with Pyrrha and/or Nona. The nerds (that is, Dax, Pal and Cam) are working out their differences and putting the timeline of October together, so I think having a reflection of the sort of family they found themselves in on New Rho might be interesting, but I haven't settled on a particular memory.
Are you planning to create a log this month? Yep! Hopefully not as late as last time.
