HANDWAVED CR MEME

We're all settling in just right to the new, improved Wellstone. But what is your character up to outside of the horrors? How do they persist? Use this form to brainstorm how you're characters have been vibing on the day-to-day!

Character Name: Dax
Where they hang out: Dax is thrilled by the weather change and will be outside a lot!

Activities they often do: Dax sleeps very little, stays up late into the night, and then gets up before the sun. She's spends a lot of time working on the radio project with Aizawa, so feel free to have seen her bickering with him over this.

In the mornings, she runs with Flynn, and she is supportive of his attempts to get anyone else to run with them. During the day, she's often seen with Camilla, Palamedes, or any of the Games Club members. She's a 'tag along and support whatever machinations my friends have gotten hooked on' kind of girl.

At night, when it's late enough most people are asleep, is usually the only time she'll be alone. When she isn't in Aizawa's room tinkering, she can often be found in the tavern or Saloon, reading over her own notes, playing a solitary card game while chatting at an NPC as if they're super engaged, or trying her hand at the piano (which she's pretty good at - and happy to be teaching anyone who's interested).

What they're like at mealtimes: Dax gets bleary the later she stays up, so if you catch her at her past-midnight mealtimes, she'll be nice but not very conversational. Otherwise, she's pretty approachable and will be happy to strike up a conversation! If someone's sitting alone, she'll see if they want company.

Dax often tries weird food combinations thinking it sounds like the best thing ever, takes one bite, and goes to get a totallly different plate because she hates it.

What their current vibe is: Dax has had her weird double-fueled CR wrinkles with Palamedes and Camilla from last cycle smoothed out, so she's actually feeling better this month! She's throwing everything into her radio project, trying very hard to hope that getting in contact with whoever is doing will help them take a next step, so feel free to clock her high-energy commitment to the radios as the anxiety that it is.

Also, Dax is, at this point, definitely looking at Palamedes like he's the prettiest girl in the room. She's 100% unaware of this. Feel free for your character to be aware of this.

- John gets roped into the radio project and mostly just stands there looking pretty and making occasional supportive comments. Dax encourages this bc it's good for his socialization, as though he is a weird and erratic rescue dog (it is actually kind of working)

- He has tea with her in the parlor, or snacks in the tavern, as they pore over their respective notes. He is down to make up card games and help her hassle the NPCs.

- John also stays up past midnight getting decreasingly coherent as he plays with bones and bits of wood at the table. Picturing amiable sleep-deprived-grad-student bickering

- He notices the way she looks at Pal and gets kind of sad and weird about it, but is thus far keeping his distance as much as anyone could expect. (eg. only occasionally tests Pal's patience by dangling new necromancy or lore tidbits at him for his attention, Dax probably watches from afar and sometimes has to step in when she sees Pal's hackles going up too high)

- Dax ropes John in specifically to talk to Aizawa so that she doesn't have to talk to Aizawa as much. It's working out great for her. She is going to get annoyed at John if he hovers over her shoulder, though.

- Yes, yes, yes, cute. She has a collection of ones the Games Club made up, and a few basic ones she remembers. She doesn't want to hassle the NPCs! She's just... convinced they're still in there, it's like talking to coma patients.

- YES... she always makes sure he gets back to his room and he always gets a wrist squeeze and a patient 'good night'

- Story of her life.

Oh lord, I am imagining Pal and John alternating late night grad student study times with increasingly absurd results, ie., he bursts into Dax's room mid-thought at 2am, sees John already there, and immediately turns around and leaves without finishing his sentence.

Dax tries to get Palamedes to stay the first time it happens (in a 'oh no you're fine John and I were just wrapping up' way regardless of what they were doing), she boots John back to his room, but it's too late and Pal's in such a weird mood now that they never get back to Pal's original 2am revelation

I feel like Min-Gi's been kind of evasive of Dax since the Incident. He can make a decent guess it was a double given the timing, but he's still been feeling very uncomfortable about it.

SORRY MIN-GI... she likely wouldn't really notice unless he were outright avoidant in a way she could see. She should come try to casually/happily chat to him when he's doing something alone in public, maybe? 👀

Yeah, I think especially with the other doubles drama going on it wouldn't be super obvious.

That sounds good though! I think maybe it might be something that gets picked up over time, so maybe if she's had a few other casual encounters with him where he's been kind of avoidant and cut things a little short.

Interested in and already loving where their current threads are going, obvs! Based on the one in Darlington's log for this month, I like the idea of him and Dax ending up occasional tavern conversation buddies whenever she's futzing around behind the bar there.

Danny will also eagerly get roped into joining Flynn's running club, so that's another socialization opportunity for these two, possibly!
