1.3 Week 1 Desert Exploration
It's finally happening, everyone! After two months in this town, Flynn is sick of not knowing what else is out there. Sure, it's a little windy and very hot, but it's better than last month, and there's no time like the present, right? It's time for a:
Desert Expedition!
After posting about it at the beginning of the week, Flynn will be leading a little expedition into the desert. His goals are as follows:
The plan right now is to leave just before dawn on the morning of the 7th with as much water and food as Flynn & anyone else who's coming with can carry. He's going to try to set up water caches to support future expeditions, as well as start to map what's out there. It's going to last all of a single day and a single night of camping under the stars before the entire party is going to be caught in a massive sandstorm and have to fight their way home. Fun!
The way I think it'll work best is if we basically do all the exploration here in this little post! So, if your character wants to come with, feel free to just count them in. I'll be making comments below with various things we'll need to hash out, and we can figure out roughly what happens on this little expedition! I'll hop in on the mod account (or have Mads do it) with anything folks might discover, and I'll be (in the interest of not mostly playing with myself, haha) letting other people kind of take the lead on that!!
I was thinking this would be mostly OOC for ease (i.e. "Flynn's going to spend his time poking his nose into X, Y, and Z, he'll need some help with A") but if you'd like to actually thread things out, feel free to do that too. We're all just making things up over here!

Survival Skill Level: Ehhhhh he's okay at it. He's got a lot of lists of supplies and he can carry a lot, and he's pretty good at fighting if they should encounter anything.
Interested In: What's out there? Are there any other people, or any signs of other people? How hard is it to get to those mountains in the distance?
What else will they be doing? Flynn set this up, so he feels a lot of responsibility to keep everyone safe. He'll be leading everyone in the direction he feels is most useful to start with (out west, toward the distant mountain ridge and sort of near where the lights were). He also wants to set up caches of water to enable people to roam further in the future. He'll be there through the entire expedition, including camping and helping people get home through the storm.
