1.3 Week 1 Desert Exploration
It's finally happening, everyone! After two months in this town, Flynn is sick of not knowing what else is out there. Sure, it's a little windy and very hot, but it's better than last month, and there's no time like the present, right? It's time for a:
Desert Expedition!
After posting about it at the beginning of the week, Flynn will be leading a little expedition into the desert. His goals are as follows:
The plan right now is to leave just before dawn on the morning of the 7th with as much water and food as Flynn & anyone else who's coming with can carry. He's going to try to set up water caches to support future expeditions, as well as start to map what's out there. It's going to last all of a single day and a single night of camping under the stars before the entire party is going to be caught in a massive sandstorm and have to fight their way home. Fun!
The way I think it'll work best is if we basically do all the exploration here in this little post! So, if your character wants to come with, feel free to just count them in. I'll be making comments below with various things we'll need to hash out, and we can figure out roughly what happens on this little expedition! I'll hop in on the mod account (or have Mads do it) with anything folks might discover, and I'll be (in the interest of not mostly playing with myself, haha) letting other people kind of take the lead on that!!
I was thinking this would be mostly OOC for ease (i.e. "Flynn's going to spend his time poking his nose into X, Y, and Z, he'll need some help with A") but if you'd like to actually thread things out, feel free to do that too. We're all just making things up over here!

- understand what else might be out there
- see if there is any hint of other intelligent life
- find a way to communicate that they're all trapped here with someone who can help

Survival Skill Level: He's amazingly resilient and adaptable, plus he doesn't know when to give up, so it's pretty good.
Interested In: Helping out as much as he can and maybe looking for any sort of resources. Broken down caravans or transports, trails that indicate any passage of life. He's adept at drawing so he might attempt to make maps or sketch out any notable landmarks with notes on how long/far they are from town.
What else will they be doing? Aside from attempting to keep spirits up, he'd probably be invested in trying to make sure they can find their way back. He'd be planting markers and counting paces as best he can while making notes in a little novelty notebook he has.
