Things have reset and we are entering the second month of our timeloop. Here's what we're looking at:

2.2: June
June 1: Event goes live
June 15: June mini-event goes live
June 25th-ish: July Wellstone Post

AC CHANGES

We're shifting AC a little! Doing AC at the end of the cycle was a little much for us when we also had to process apps and set up the new cycle. Also, we're all adults and we wanted to make AC a little easier to meet.

You can read over the activity check mechanics in detail here, but the tl;dr is that AC is now going to happen at the beginning of the third month in a cycle, in this case, July. To account for the fact that everyone has a month less, we're lowering the overall requirements, and waiving it entirely for folks who apped the month before (so this app round, June, folks will have a free pass and will just need to check in).

Hopefully that all makes sense, but if anyone has questions, let us know below! We're just trying to make things easier for everybody, pretty much.

And now, the weather

After the breezy superbloom of May, June is going to bring a likely-unwelcome level of heat. The sun is high and hot, baking the town during the day and making that heat linger into the night. By noon on most days, it will be hot enough to fry an egg on the surface of the roads, although... probably don't do that. By mid-month, it will be dangerous to be outside for too long in the middle of the day.

Probably a good thing that the pool is working again! Look forward to the arrival of fun western-themed swimwear in everyone's wardrobes.

Heeeeyyyyy, mods. I was not as active as I'd have liked for May (I can discuss with you privately the reasons for this if need be) and I will need to hiatus in June mostly for work reasons. I didn't figure this would be a problem since I'm hoping to come back semi-refreshed in July and I'd be able to make up for it then.

I have checked, and I have enough AC in April that I didn't use for last cycle's check. Will I be able to submit this since I assume going forward activity from the third month of the previous cycle will be usable? If not what are my other options?

Hey! No worries about the reasons or anything like that—we're not looking to make things harder with this AC change, only easier! Your hiatus would cover AC anyway—hiatusing during the cycle reduces your AC requirement—but you can absolutely use April activity during the next AC check and be totally golden.
