Vibes: Yuri looks like a rogue cowboy on the range: all black, billowing clothing, big, jangling leather boots, tight, tight pants. He has an empty holster on his belt. His black hair is his most notable feature, going to his mid-back.
Memories: Yuri remembers that he was a knight, and that his mission was to protect a princess. Neither of these things is really true, but without context, this is how he's seeing himself. He also is keeping his fighting skills: both with weapons and hand-to-hand, and he's still a decent cook.
Initial Plans: Yuri's torn between feeling defeated and drinking all day, and wanting to get out and get back to protecting Estelle. He'll be a regular at the saloon, and also will be patrolling the town and exploring the desert. I wouldn't be surprised if he dies trying to explore the desert tbth. If anyone wants to die with him in the desert, that would be a fun first thread.

I slowly want to break it to him that he isn't really a knight anymore, and slowly reintroduce him to his friends and life back home outside of this supposed duty.

Vibes: It's all denim all the time, baby. Flynn's gonna look like a real working cowboy with his tight denim and his blue checked shirts and his hats and stuff. The dude is blonde and tall and kind of stacked and even taller in cowboy boots, I guess? He comes off pretty intense at first meeting, but he's very kind! Just, you know. A lot.

Memories: Flynn mostly remembers his skills as a swordsman, and vaguely that he's from the slums of a large city. He's got a sense that he doesn't trust authority and knows that he's spent some time in jail, and that there was someone very important to him by his side when he was at home. He thinks he's a vigilante from a slum, more or less!

Initial Plans: Hey thanks he hates this place already!! Flynn doesn't do well with sitting still, so he's going to up in everyone's business like an annoying puppy. Think morning runs at dawn before it gets hot, near-constant desert exploration, poking his nose into every single store downtown to try and figure out what's going on. He'll also be looking for anything at all that he can use as a sword.

Vibes: Do I only play blondes from old video games?? Yes. Anyway Roxas is 16 and it shows; he is a sulky teen who just wants to skateboard and hang out with his friends. He's going to end up in oversized western gear, mostly in black and white. He's absolutely wearing boots and absolutely not wearing a hat, and the boots are super going to make him walk like a little dog who doesn't like the booties you've put on it. Save this teen from himself! He'll come off standoffish but curious, and also he's very small. Pick-up-ably small. Like 5'4"

Memories: Roxas knows his Standard Teen Skills of skateboarding & parkour, and also he remembers that he's a normal kid from a normal sleepy town, which is.... false but I'm essentially making it so that he has to regain his memories of regaining his memories because surprise, this exact situation has happened to him before! Oops. Anyway he doesn't know that right now but BOY is he gonna be mad when he figures it out.

Initial Plans: Roxas is going to chill and vibe. He's going to probably low-key poke around and explore stuff, but he has no reason to believe he's not on some kind of weird vacation, so he's gonna keep it pretty chill until he has reason to get really spooked about it. Catch him at the diner eating pie and drinking WAYYYY too many milkshakes, being in the Saloon even though like SHOULD he be drinking??? and probably figuring out a way to make a skateboard out of a cactus or something

Character Name: Horatio Hornblower
Canon: Hornblower (book series specifically despite the movie shitposting)
Vibes: The important first impression which will not be changed is one of the first lines in the second book: Horatio is absolutely a "a tall and rather gangling individual with hollow cheeks and a melancholy cast of countenance, whose [clothes] looked as if it had been put on in the dark and not readjusted since." No amount of being on dry land will solve any of that!! He's also got Very Big awkward at social interaction vibes. The most common response to anyone anywhere at any time about anything will be him clearing his throat and looking faintly embarrassed to exist. He's definitely clearly a sweet kid underneath all that, but there's a big block of social awkwardness to chisel through first. Western-wise, he's got a flannel/denim thing going on (and definitely hats, because he feels weirdly off-kilter without hats, even though it'll probably fit weird until he figures out how low to tie his ponytail with them). Definitely nothing Flashy(TM) or Expensive(TM); very much in the vein of 'ready to carry heavy things or fall down in mud about a horse' chic(?). (ofc there's a moodboard about it)
Memories: Horatio remembers only weird useless memories, but two practical skills! He's got the sense impression of home sheep (Romney marsh sheep to be specific) and toiling over Greek/Latin translations, as well as the strong sense that someone was terribly proud of him at some point in spite of the everything about him. More excitingly, he's got his knot-tying skills, so come at him when you need things made secure! Exciting for him but no one else, he's got his top tier card-counting skills, so don't come at him if you don't want to have someone inhale whatever game he gets taught to the point of breaking it!
Initial Plans: The only vibe is figuring out how to contribute. It's not clear what that will look like, but he needs border collie jobs to do and he needs them ASAP. Except a lot of offers to help rearrange furniture and run errands.

Think Man in Black for his aesthetics: a cowboy stand-in for a shadow, ominous and looming, except for the fact he's shivering like a nervous chihuahua when anyone makes eye contact.
Memories: All skills, head empty. Bruce's sum total knowledge of himself is his own name, and a medley of Batman-related skills (violence, sneaking, mystery solving, gadgets, first aid) and one Bruce Wayne skill (can play 'Creep' on a guitar).
Initial Plans: Bruce, lacking all narrative memories of his life, will be operating as a kind of blank mystery hunting robot man at first. Having no direction will result in him pursuing any mystery set in front of him just for the sake of having a Task to perform, and he will be vulnerable to latching onto people and designating them as important to him out of a loneliness he can feel but not articulate the cause of. Also, he's going to be climbing on roofs a lot, for inexplicable reasons.

Vibes: Pal is a nerdy twentyish-year-old (*squints at TLT timeline*) with the build of a beanpole. He looks like he could be knocked over in a strong wind. He probably could. He also looks like he Knows More Than You. This used to be true, but may not be at the moment, for obvious reasons. He's polite, friendly, extremely tolerant of weirdos, and extremely intolerant of jerks. He'll be decked out in fairly straightforward plaids, jeans, and cowboy hats. The hats will confuse him at first, but after a day in the desert sun, he'll start to see the value.

Memories: Pal is landing in Well with a headful of memories and Big Feelings, and absolutely no skills. He knows he comes from some kind of planetary empire, that he was an academic with a fancy title, that he misses someone more than words can express, and that maybe he used to have a different body. Or was in a different body? It's all very puzzling to him, so thank goodness he likes to solve puzzles. Also, hey! He has some powers! But he doesn't remember having them or how to use them, so that's going to be interesting.

Initial Plans: See: thank goodness he likes to solve puzzles. Pal is going to be determined to document everything he remembers and try to work out who he is, where he is, and what he's doing here. What is this place? Why does every local have a vocabulary of less than 50 words? Why does he really like hanging out in the graveyard? Why does weird shit keep happening??

Before long he'll start experimenting with his necromatic powers, too. Maybe he'll ever learn to make a perfect kidney. Hopefully he won't set too many things on fire or make any flesh monstrosities in the process.

Canon: Ensemble Stars!! A long running mobile game about idols where nothing bad happens ever and everyone is super normal.
Vibes: Western Goth! Pretty but in a haunted kind of way, like if you shine a flashlight on him in the middle of the night his eyes would do that cat glow thing probably. Wears a lot of pretty jewelry, and dresses in a strong mix of masc and femm, favoring flashy lace and ribbon. Will almost always be wearing a hat with some kind of veil or covering because he is very delicate and direct sunlight might actually kill him.

Memories: He remembers lots of vague ideas and impressions but very little actual memories! He knows enough that he can sing and dance and that he likes a lot of spooky fiction, but nothing about his actual personal life, his family, his friends, or what he used to be. He's starting from mostly scratch!

Initial Plans: I would love for Mayoi to get some kind of gig as a singer in the town, either at the saloon or maybe at the hotel which ever NPC won't kick him out. He'll be an absolute bundle of nerves but boy will something be compelling him to do it.

Other than that i'd like for him to just start making some friends and otherwise be a weird cryptid scuttling around town. He's a very shy and skittish guy!! But, he is very doting and sweet if you can pry him off the ceiling.

Vibes: Hilariously, Reyson currently fully believes that he's a pirate and will be trying to fill those vibes as much as he can with what he's got available-- which is going to be great with his delicate aesthetic.

Memories: Music. Reyson is going to primarily be remembering his musical skills and bits and pieces of what his life has been like for the better part of the last 20 years, but without context. Yes he's going to recall his ailing father and the king that has been taking care of him, but he's not going to know why, and he's not going to remember his Princely role or the massacre that he survived for a long time.

... He's not even going to recall his magic or that he's a bird at first, but those skills are there and will be fun to play with.

Initial Plans: Reyson is going to feel claustrophobic with the stone walls and uncomfortable with the lack of trees and not know why, and this is going to make him irritable for reasons he can't define. His default reaction is always going to be impulsively picking a fight, so that's going to make matters interesting. I'm setting a ticker for how long it'll take him to break himself or get himself sick, and how many times that'll happen before he sees sense and has some mercy on himself.

It'll be awesome if he can be coaxed into a music gig in town but he's not going to push for it himself. Music is a sacred thing for him and in canon he sings with purpose.

... His songs are still going to invigorate the audience enough to feel extra energized.

Vibes: He is a very friendly and chill guy who most people will probably get along with as long as they don't mind that he's an attention-seeking weirdo. He's a musician, though he doesn't remember that at the moment, and he has that kind of stage presence where everything is kind of a hyped up performance.
Memories: His head is full of memory fragments! Real sharp tiny ones, because I aimed more for little pieces of memories than anything really huge. He remembers some things that have been said to him, little flashes of detail here and there, but most of them are things he doesn't have context for, like what the fuck is a Chicken Choice Judy? Probably the two most interesting tidbits are that he has a memory from the actual day he was born (on the grounds that in canon we see a tape of memories that were pulled from his brain that has a memory from the day he was born on it), and also memories of being in a wild west town before! But with bugs. With many, many, many bugs.
Initial Plans: I don't think he'll try and escape immediately, necessarily? He's going to feel a little off-kilter for a while because of the memory loss, and will probably spend too much time at the saloon socializing. He won't necessarily want to stay forever, but he doesn't currently have any clue where he would go or if anyone is out there looking for him. He's also going to trying to navigate life as an amnesiac in this game with undiagnosed ADHD - I've been thinking about it, and I think he'll have migraines a lot because his brain is used to jumping from thought to thought to thought and now it only has like six total memories to jump between. I can see him accidentally trying to think too hard about something he can't actually remember really often, lol it's going to be a big problem and he will not feel good until he gets some more memories back.

As for Kagari's own vibes, he definitely gives off the impression of a feral sort of gremlin, but one that's here for a good time above all else. Who is excited for ADVENTURES, he wants to solve mysteries and experience many cool shenanigans.

Memories: Almost nothing. Except, somehow, an almost encyclopedic knowledge of memes and fictional tropes. Sure, he does not remember what planet he came from but he does know your princess is in another castle. :') He also remembers how to cook and fight.

Player intro: 'Sup Well, I'm floral and I'm here to bring you Nona from the lesbian necromancers in space book series The Locked Tomb. Some of you might know me from Deerington and Deer Country, where I played Gerard Keay (The Magnus Archives), Salem (RWBY), and Gideon Nav (also TLT). I'm a big fan of horror and sci-fi, with a special love for ghost stories, tragic lesbians, worms, complex politics, and that bit in Wuthering Heights where everyone gets consumption. Aside from RP, I like to play + listen to music, and I'll dabble in a nice tabletop or video game every now and then.

Vibes: Nona has no idea who she is and doesn't want to find out, because it's probably terrible! She comes across as a very sweet young person who just likes to pet dogs, have fun with her friends, and go to school. Promise. Any sort of weird, off-putting, or spooky stuff, like eating rocks, being able to survive lethally poisonous jellyfish, or a fondness for communing with unknowable horrors is probably not that big of a deal. It'd be rude to judge her for it, frankly!! Give her a big cowboy hat, a horse, and maybe even a Sheriff's badge instead please :)

Memories: Nona remembers some basic stuff about her life, like her routine and the general names/faces of people she knew. She remembers that she has a catastrophic ability in her back pocket. And she remembers that there's something that she'd really, really rather forget.

Initial Plans: Oh, Nona will be having a blast! She'll be super excited to meet all the locals and newcomers alike, with a focus on making friends and maybe petting any cool animals they might have. Nona, in general, is a people person and likes to feel supportive and useful, so if you need a buddy, someone to bring you out of your shell, or help with an Important Task, Nona's your girl.
