But he does also bring gossip and that's totally worth it, right?

Since they are both early risers who sit and drink tea they are probably fairly regularly in each other's vicinity even if they don't interact all the time due to Cecelia being clearly busy and Min-Gi not being the type to interrupt. Maybe he can bring her more practical pens and notepads when he sees them in the store. They still have goofy covers, but at least they're shaped like regular sheets of paper.

Where they hang out: Where ISN'T Flynn is the better question— he is a busybody who has to keep moving or he'll die. He's like a shark if a shark was a dog with anxiety. He has a pretty set schedule, though, and can be found largely in the manor in the mornings and evenings and vibing around town exploring in the day. He goes to the Starlite for breakfast, usually to the General Store to take inventory, and can often be found in the Cactus Pad drinking anything nonalcoholic and being friendly in the evenings. Also catch him just like. In? the woods?

Activities they often do: lmao Mads wrote this and somehow clocked both of Flynn's daily activities!!

His schedule, roughly:

Morning run at the crack of dawn, he WILL try to bully anyone awake and around into joining him
Breakfast either in the manor or at the diner, he'll sit down near someone to chat most of the time
General store inventory, gotta keep that list updated, and once that's done,
Sword training time! This happens in the Staywell's courtyard and is very intense. It goes for like an hour and a half and usually ends with Flynn shirtless and some hastily-assembled training dummy in pieces.
Town perimeter check after lunch, he'll chat with anyone he sees about anything, he is so friendly
Cleaning time! What does this mean? Flynn keeps himself busy sweeping the courtyard, tidying up the Staywell's entry hall, cleaning his and Yuri's room, sweeping around other businesses... does he need to do this? No, of course not. It makes him feel better don't @ him.
Bath time! He picks the circle door because it seems??? the least offensive???? and stays there for, let's be real, a while. Flynn loves bathtime.
Dinner usually at the Staywell, and then an early bed.

What they're like at mealtimes: If you're in this town and have ever eaten in public, Flynn has sat down with you for a chat. He is so friendly, he wants to be friends so bad, he wants to ask all the questions. This is a great way to assume they met, especially because he DOES make horrible food choices. We are talking capital-C Crimes. Mustard on waffles. Burgers dipped into milkshakes. Mashed potatoes topped with maple syrup, molasses, and spicy pepper. Eggs with coffee on them.

What their current vibe is: STRESSED and also a little blessed. Flynn doesn't like the change, he thinks maybe they broke something, so he's a ball of nervous energy trying to Understand both himself and the town and keep things from collapsing. Also he has a boyfriend and a regular bath so like, he's not TOO too bad.

What CR are you interested in: Would love some sparring / training pals, as well as anyone interested in butting up against Flynn's more snotty stubborn qualities—he can be kind of a judgmental jerk and I'm probably gonna put up a passive-aggressive post-it asking people to please wipe their shoes before coming inside because he's a controlling clean boy like that.

He's also currently in a weird intense quasi-mentorship situation with John Lockedtomb so if anyone needs to side-eye that please feel free.

ALSO......... basically everyone probably knows he and Yuri are a thing because he's a mushy asshole and smiles dopily at his bf and holds his hand in public. He also (canonically) finds a way to work Yuri into basically every conversation. Feel free to ambiently know this about him.

Estelle likes checking out all the fun interesting things in the general store so she would probably run into Flynn there often! She'd happily help with inventory, especially as she's learning more about the dangers...gotta be prepared...

She also loves bathtime...they should talk about what a good guy Yuri is like all the time. It doesn't even need to be bathtime for that!

Where they hang out: Yuri loves the tavern, he is often in the tavern eating something sweet or drinking coffee. He's also wandering the woods or the maze, or on the roof of the Staywell.
Activities they often do: He's a late riser who bops out of the Staywell in the late morning. He cooks in the tavern kitchen every few days and shares whatever he makes with anyone who shows up. Sometimes there might be cookies on the reception desk, or curry on the tavern counter.

He also spars, mostly by himself, shadow boxing or beating up barrels or other insundry objects.

He also does go to the General Store and pick up little knickknacks that he thinks are cute or that will annoy Flynn. He might bring you one as a little treat.
What they're like at mealtimes: Coffee, sweets, protein. He mostly eats at the tavern, but might grab a muffin or a sausage at the Staywell before breakfast disappears. Usually gets brunch/lunch with Flynn in the tavern.
What their current vibe is: He's in a sort of floaty I-can't-believe-I'm-still-alive sort of place. After the kidnapping and being impaled by Flynn's double, he's amazed he's still around and he's sort of zen for the moment. He's annoyed that his sword fighting abilities are gone.

General arc vibes are to help him realize he has value outside of his fighting abilities, and working to repair his abysmal self-esteem. He has a lot of questions about who he was, and about who Flynn and Estelle were to him, and if he really was a knight and a good person (currently conflated in his mind).

Also generally happy and embarrassed about Flynn and their relationship. He loves it but also it's so embarrassing to love it and also it's confusing and scary.

What CR are you interested in: People to cook with or for, people who like to joke around despite the horrors, people whose relationships he can get invested in, people who think he has inherent value outside of his sword-fighting abilities.

What their current vibe is: In Cycle 3, he was everyone's eccentric scientist friend with spooky eyes. After his double killed or maimed most of his friends in a big skeleton battle— you are welcome to have witnessed or heard about that— shit is awkward! In Cycle 4, he now sits alone at mealtimes and is more distant. The smiles don't reach his eyes. Strap in for an absolutely wild redemption arc.

Where they hang out: Ryan's all over the place! The manor, the tavern, the pub, just vibing outside in the greenery. He also hangs out with Min-Gi a lot - you've almost certainly seen them together at this point, they are very much dating.

Activities they often do: Ryan is a late riser, you'll never catch him at the crack of dawn willingly. He'll grab coffee late morning and either bother people he knows or find something to do on his own (for better or worse). Later in the day you can sometimes catch him at the pub. Teacher pending but he's acquired a Sword and would like to learn how to do that. He also knows he played guitar in the Before Well Times, but doesn't remember how to play, so lately you might see him trying to figure out if he can get an instrument somewhere.

Sometimes he still gets migraines if he pushes himself too hard about memories, and when that happens he disappears for a day or so, but! People who have known him for a while might notice this happens to him a little less frequently than it used to!

What they're like at mealtimes: Friendly and chatty! He might get so interested in the conversation that he flat out forgets to actually eat, but he'll remember eventually. It's fun to eat with other people though, and he never minds the company. If he's upset about something though, his appetite is the first thing to go. As of the mini-event for 4.1, Ryan has gotten extremely uncomfortable about eating the provided food for fear that it will abruptly turn moldy or into eyeballs on him, so you will probably catch him with just a glass of water, or a drink at the pub. Please feed him, is what I'm saying. This isn't sustainable long-term, Ryan.

What their current vibe is: He's somewhere in the middle right now! He's very happy in his relationship, extra happy that he now has some idea of how he knew Min-Gi before, and he thinks he likes this forest setting more. That being said, he wasn't a fan of the most recent party and the eyes and the shadows and mold, and he was even less a fan of getting abducted last cycle, so morale in the setting is extremely low. Though, that might be because he's remembered he's in a band with the love of his life back home and compared to that this...kind of sucks? This kind of sucks actually.

Where they hang out: Generally he wanders. He can be found around the edge of town. At an outpost he set up. What was the diner before. Around the manor.
What they're like at mealtimes: Diluc is pretty quiet unless prompted to talk. He focuses on getting food in his face. Or, is cooking to serve others. If he is working a stove or so, he cleans up as he goes. Questions about what people did or did not like about their meal or drink comes up. Next time it is always adjusted to their tastes.

He tends to eat whatever he feels like eating and can be talked to over said meal. Unless he is tired. Then you still get answers but he only gives one word answers.
What their current vibe is: Diluc is not doing great. He is low energy and still achieving his self imposed duties. But, he is also taking breaks. He is trying out self care. Bit by bit. It is that or burn out and he refuses to do that.

What CR are you interested in: People to cook with. People to spar with. Chess buddies maybe? Honestly toss something at me and we’ll see what happens. Exploration, etc. Diluc is stoic and keeps a lid on his shit but, he is a good listener and can be decent at convos.

Where they hang out: All over! He prefers to stick within the town itself most of the time, but he will visit the forest occasionally. The maze and graveyard is where you're least likely to run into him.

Activities they often do: Min-Gi wakes up fairly early, so he can be found out and about in the mornings. This is a good time to catch him without Ryan around since they have differing sleep schedules. He always starts with breakfast (though his appetite is noticeably less since the party he is still making an effort), but he also likes to chill in the parlour or check out what the general store has on offer even if there isn't usually anything he wants.

He really enjoys the new bathhouse, so he can be found there most days too at some point or another. Often alone, but sometimes for date night. To a lesser extent he is also a fairly frequent visitor to the tavern and pubs. Again, this can be alone or with Ryan.

What they're like at mealtimes: You can talk to him! Outside of events he is usually polite, but not necessarily seeking out a conversation partner. He will not be making food recommendations again anytime soon. He still feels horrible for contributing to anyone eating rotten food at the last party.

What their current vibe is: He's pretty happy overall. He has Ryan. He can be clean again. This is for the most part a lot more comfortable than the desert, though he's not as comfortable with the clothing choices.

On the other hand the setting change means it's even harder to predict what's coming. He still hasn't forgotten being kidnapped last cycle, and he is sitting on a few things he knows he should talk to Ryan about. You can definitely catch him in a good mood, but it wouldn't be unusual to come across him brooding or thinking over the things he's learned. He usually makes an active effort not to think too hard about the things he doesn't.

What CR are you interested in: I'm very interested in forming deeper CR, either positive or negative. Due to a combination of busy irl and Min-Gi being a character who is often easy to form an acquaintanceship with but harder to get properly close to I've struggled with this more than I'd like. This is very much a it's not you, it's me (and Min-Gi) situation, but it's one I am trying hard to work on.

EDIT: Specific ideas would be good, huh? He is actively looking for reading material that isn't the February 1834 Farmer's Almanac. Please, please let someone discover something new he can read in the nice cosy parlour seats. He doesn't care how bad it is, he is desperate. Bathhouse buddies are always good. While he isn't looking to learn how to use his fancy new sword, he does still want to know how to take good care of it. He is also a little embarrassed about being an ex-diner cook who has no idea how to cook, so that is something he might like to change.

Where they hang out: Pal is spending a lot of time exploring and documenting the new surroundings, but when he isn’t, he’s often holed up by the fire in the Staywell parlor! If you come near him, he may offer you tea. He also spends an odd amount of time in the graveyard, despite how difficult it is to get there.

Activities they often do: As noted above, Pal is doing a lot of exploring. You’ve probably seen him poking seemingly-uninteresting rocks, collecting plant samples, or attempting to map both the inn (mostly successfully) and the hedge maze (much less successfully). To outside observers, his explorations don’t look like they have much rhyme or reason to them, but he does have a system. Probably. Maybe.

What they're like at mealtimes: Pal very, very often forgets to eat, even when sitting in a place that traditionally serves food. He is known to sit somewhere nursing a cup of tea and a corner of toast for hours while writing furiously in one of his many notebooks. Out of the blue, he may ask you a question or fill you in on what he’s working on, often beginning his explanation in the middle of the thought.

What their current vibe is: These days, Pal is friendly but somewhat aloof. He has had a lot go down in the last couple months that has made him more likely to play his cards close to the chest, a change that’s subtle, but that people who have known him since the beginning might notice. He’ll gladly chat with you when you approach him, but he might seem like he is thinking about something else, and is less likely to strike up casual conversations.

What CR are you interested in: Always looking for more science buddies and exploration buddies! Also would love for him to interact with people who want to know wtf the whole Skelebrawl thing was about. He's also still available for medical check-ups.

Anything else? Pal is also often with Camilla Hect, so if you see him on the regular, you probably see her, too, and vice versa.

like random food being brought to you? good news, your good buddy the literal golden retriever probably sits down at mealtimes with a full entire plate of food. Is it good food? sometimes! probably!!

Anyway he definitely has Fireside Buddy Time with Pal, and probably joins him in poking around by picking things up with a sort of "is this anything" energy while presenting Pal with random rocks. Helping!

Where they hang out: Dax is thrilled by the weather change and will be outside a lot!

Activities they often do: Dax sleeps very little, stays up late into the night, and then gets up before the sun. She's spends a lot of time working on the radio project with Aizawa, so feel free to have seen her bickering with him over this.

In the mornings, she runs with Flynn, and she is supportive of his attempts to get anyone else to run with them. During the day, she's often seen with Camilla, Palamedes, or any of the Games Club members. She's a 'tag along and support whatever machinations my friends have gotten hooked on' kind of girl.

At night, when it's late enough most people are asleep, is usually the only time she'll be alone. When she isn't in Aizawa's room tinkering, she can often be found in the tavern or Saloon, reading over her own notes, playing a solitary card game while chatting at an NPC as if they're super engaged, or trying her hand at the piano (which she's pretty good at - and happy to be teaching anyone who's interested).

What they're like at mealtimes: Dax gets bleary the later she stays up, so if you catch her at her past-midnight mealtimes, she'll be nice but not very conversational. Otherwise, she's pretty approachable and will be happy to strike up a conversation! If someone's sitting alone, she'll see if they want company.

Dax often tries weird food combinations thinking it sounds like the best thing ever, takes one bite, and goes to get a totallly different plate because she hates it.

What their current vibe is: Dax has had her weird double-fueled CR wrinkles with Palamedes and Camilla from last cycle smoothed out, so she's actually feeling better this month! She's throwing everything into her radio project, trying very hard to hope that getting in contact with whoever is doing will help them take a next step, so feel free to clock her high-energy commitment to the radios as the anxiety that it is.

Also, Dax is, at this point, definitely looking at Palamedes like he's the prettiest girl in the room. She's 100% unaware of this. Feel free for your character to be aware of this.

- John gets roped into the radio project and mostly just stands there looking pretty and making occasional supportive comments. Dax encourages this bc it's good for his socialization, as though he is a weird and erratic rescue dog (it is actually kind of working)

- He has tea with her in the parlor, or snacks in the tavern, as they pore over their respective notes. He is down to make up card games and help her hassle the NPCs.

- John also stays up past midnight getting decreasingly coherent as he plays with bones and bits of wood at the table. Picturing amiable sleep-deprived-grad-student bickering

- He notices the way she looks at Pal and gets kind of sad and weird about it, but is thus far keeping his distance as much as anyone could expect. (eg. only occasionally tests Pal's patience by dangling new necromancy or lore tidbits at him for his attention, Dax probably watches from afar and sometimes has to step in when she sees Pal's hackles going up too high)

Character Name: Loki
Where they hang out: (What a good excuse to revisit the locations page, lmao). Loki hangs out at the pub and tavern a decent amount, too anxious about being alone to hide away all the time. He also attends the meals provided at the manor regularly. Very occasionally he visits the edges of the graveyard, but he's not going inside anytime soon.
Activities they often do: He sometimes checks the general store for books and will read whatever he manages to get, though it's never very interesting. He also keeps practicing throwing and handling knives, not that he's making much progress at it.
What they're like at mealtimes: Despite being rather lean, Loki can really pack away food. He's also a bit of a foodie and enjoys trying new things, but he's not terribly interested in anything too sweet. And while he's a very polite diner and would never talk with his mouth full, he somehow manages to talk as much as he eats (which is to say, a lot).
What their current vibe is: Loki's doing his best to Have a Good Time in whatever way possible, so he appears sociable and active, but honestly anyone who makes an actual effort to get to know him or check in on him won't have to push very hard to find out he is very freaked out at not remembering anything and by the few things he does remember. He's also nervous about feeling like he can't really defend himself, possibly because he has memories of having been a decent fighter but not the skill to back it up.

What CR are you interested in: Oh just about anything! Loki's kind of vacilating wildly between angst/anxiety and partypartyparty so there's a pretty decently wide range of relationships he can be gathering at this point. He's pretty annoying sometimes and hasn't reignited his mischievous side yet so it would be fun to get someone who dislikes him/he dislikes who he can then torment with stupid pranks.

- John will hang out with him at the pub or tavern. He'll freely share little stories from the previous cycle or let Loki talk at him over a pint (or two, or three).

Activities they often do: Find him taking notes pretty much anywhere in Well about all the weird shit he's experiencing/things he remembers/theories he has--my boy loves research. He also likes to stay active, so catch him working out (running, mostly) and/or practicing with the horrible accordion sword this month's prompt gifted him in the early mornings.
What they're like at mealtimes: Danny gravitates towards the healthier options on offer, food-wise. Catch him sitting with a cup of coffee in hand, probably working on his reports notes on all his Well theories. If he's alone, please ask to join him--he's insular by nature but generally happy for company.
What their current vibe is: Figuring out the Mysteries of Well! There's something strange going on, and even though he doesn't remember much about his past, it feels like investigating shit like this is...familiar, somehow? Throwing himself at it full-tilt is absolutely not going to backfire in any way, it'll all be fine.

What CR are you interested in: Danny has been here for a month, so he's happy for all the CR he can get! He's already begun building a weird and painfully ill-advised kind of mentor/mentee relationship with John Gaius, so that's a thing. - John will read every single one of his reports, though sometimes in the absentminded way of a man accustomed to overseeing a big, perpetually frantic, patently trying-too-hard force. He honestly finds this soothing.

- He'll drop into a seat across from Darlington, or wave him down for tea, pretty regularly at the Staywell or Stardust. He can catch Darlington up on any past event, though he'd skim past any details that paint him in a less-than-ideal light, e.g. Dax's death in 3.2 and his double's actions in 3.3.

- He will spend plenty of time in the graveyard with Darlington if asked. John is cagey about the extent of his abilities, but he's happy to give a primer on TLT necromancy and comment on his observations.

Where they hang out: The tavern, the pub, the bathhouse. He probably wanders into the General Store every so often, hoping it will magically start carrying something he can smoke (but it never does, to his ongoing disappointment lmao).

Activities they often do: Drinking (tea and booze), joining in any card games that pop up, going outside just to see what he can see — he hates it here, but he's still a scientist so he's gonna science.

What they're like at mealtimes: He's probably not a morning person. He's comfortably social but doesn't always go out of his way to talk to people because he has a tendency to be twitchy and paranoid sometimes (he doesn't know why either, it's just a feeling). He is not going to try any weird food combinations because he's wary about the food in general, so it's best to stick with what seems nice and normal and unlikely to contain any unwelcome surprises.

What their current vibe is: He's new and painfully aware that he's a non-magic non-combatant in a place where other people have weird powers and fighting skills and currently feels extremely out of his depth. He has also been struggling with suspending his disbelief about magic, but he's starting to get over that.

What CR are you interested in: Anything honestly! Gaius is slowly settling into a place where he's not having so much of a hard time with the reality of where he is now (mostly) and is going to be trying to study it more because something, something you feel more in control of things you sorta understand? Who knows. He's hanging around with John Gaius despite John's uncomfortable vibes because a) he's a science guy too and b) John seems like someone he can hide behind when and if things go sideways lmao.

Glad to put him into situations where he can make bad, cowardly choices and piss people off or strike up very unexpected friendships!

He is also a massive slut canonically and has a tendency to flirt with attractive women who can definitely kill him, but he is definitely in it 100% for the sex and would prefer there to be no strings and no feelings attached, so that's a CR angle that can actually be handwaved! That saves all the awkward intimacy (regardless of gender) and unexpected feelings (the real lewdness tbh) for threads!

- Dax has challenged John to prove the existence of the soul to a non-necromancer. For probably no reason, John's usual lab partner Palamedes doesn't want to hang out anymore???? And Gaius is also a skeptic, but one that John can amiably bully into going along with him anyway. So Gaius gets to hear about John's efforts to make thanergy and spirit magic measurable to the layperson.

- He continues to go "Yes?" when anyone addresses "Gaius." This joke has been beaten into the ground by the end of the first day, which is why he likes it. It's so fucking dumb.

- He continues to intermittently reassure Gaius, unprompted, that his food and drink does not contain blood. Hope that helps.
